Cum Alexánder quondam
Macédonum quorúmdam benevoléntiam
largitiónibus
sibi conciliáre conátus esset,
Philíppus
eum his verbis incrépuit,
"Sperásne
eos tibi fidéles esse futúros,
quos
pecúnia tibi conciliáveris?
